These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of our website rentgomallorca.com (the “Website”) and the car rental services provided by RentGo Mallorca. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your rental.

1. General Information

  • 1.1. RentGo Mallorca is a local car rental provider based in Mallorca, Spain.
  • 1.2. All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation by our staff.
  • 1.3. By using our services, you confirm that you meet the driver and age requirements set out in these Terms.

2. Booking and Payment

  • 2.1. Reservations can be made via our Website, email, phone, or WhatsApp.
  • 2.2. We operate on a no deposit, no credit card required model. Payment can be made by debit card or cash on arrival.
  • 2.3. Prices include local VAT (IVA), standard mileage terms, and basic insurance as required by Spanish law, unless otherwise stated.
  • 2.4. Optional extras (child seat, GPS, additional driver, full cover) may be added at an extra daily cost.

3. Driver Requirements

  • 3.1. Drivers must be at least 23 years old (some categories may require a minimum age of 25).
  • 3.2. A valid driving license must be presented at pickup. Non-EU/UK licenses may require an International Driving Permit (IDP).
  • 3.3. Drivers must have held a license for at least 1–3 years, depending on the vehicle category.
  • 3.4. Additional drivers must be declared at the time of booking and may be subject to a daily fee.

4. Insurance and Liability

  • 4.1. All rentals include basic third-party liability insurance in accordance with Spanish law.
  • 4.2. Full cover insurance may be purchased to reduce or eliminate financial responsibility for damages, subject to the policy terms.
  • 4.3. Insurance does not cover negligence, driving under the influence, use on unpaved/off-road routes, or unauthorized drivers.
  • 4.4. Damage to tires, glass, or the underbody may not be included in standard coverage; please check the details when booking.

5. Vehicle Use

  • 5.1. Vehicles must be used within Mallorca and in compliance with Spanish traffic laws.
  • 5.2. Taking the vehicle on ferries (to mainland Spain or other islands) requires our prior written authorization and appropriate insurance; otherwise it is prohibited.
  • 5.3. Smoking and carrying pets inside the vehicle are only allowed if agreed in advance.
  • 5.4. The renter is responsible for any fines, penalties, or towing fees incurred during the rental period.

6. Fuel and Mileage

  • 6.1. Our standard fuel policy is “same-to-same” (return with the same fuel level as received).
  • 6.2. Vehicles must not exceed the agreed mileage terms unless otherwise specified in the rental agreement.

7. Pickup and Return

  • 7.1. Pickup and return locations include Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI), hotels, villas, and private addresses across the island.
  • 7.2. Vehicles must be returned at the agreed date, time, and place. Late returns may incur additional charges.
  • 7.3. The renter must return the vehicle in the same condition as received, subject to normal wear and tear.

8. Cancellations and Modifications

  • 8.1. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before pickup are free of charge.
  • 8.2. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
  • 8.3. Modifications (vehicle type, dates, extras) are subject to availability and may affect the rental rate.

9. Responsibility and Limitations

  • 9.1. RentGo Mallorca is not liable for indirect losses, missed flights, or travel disruptions caused by accidents, delays, or vehicle issues beyond our control.
  • 9.2. Roadside assistance is provided 24/7. In case of accident or breakdown, contact us immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Balearic Islands (Illes Balears).
